Meet Marquie

Welcome to Onyx Rose.

My name is Marquie. I was born and raised in the Rogue Valley, where I currently live with my husband of 16 years and our two sons. My life has been centered around serving others, both professionally and through charitable efforts. As a family, we have organized and founded numerous charity events through our family business, Thunderstruck Custom Bikes Inc., supporting organizations such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley, the Children's Miracle Network, and others.

With over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry, I also hold licenses in hair design, nail technology, and esthetics. I have owned and managed several successful salons, and after more than a decade in cosmetology, I felt drawn to gain a deeper understanding of the human mind, which led me to study psychology. However, after three years in the program, I realized my true passion was in the medical field.

This did not stop me from continuing to seek and achieve my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well, which I received in 2026 after graduating from nursing school in Portland, Oregon in 2025. I am now an LPN and continuing my education to become an RN/BSN, and eventually a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

Becoming a certified nurse injector has allowed me to combine my knowledge of cosmetology with medicine, and create something beautiful that I love sharing with my community. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, singing, watching my favorite shows, painting, and participating in the many community events we help organize.
